Some of the summer visitors had arrived from Africa, such as Chiffchaffs and Sand Martins, and the birds were all singing. There were also plenty of bumblebees out, including my first ever Red-tailed bumblebee at Beddington, and I saw my first Small Tortoiseshell and Comma butterflies of the year.
